IBF Heavyweight Title Status

On Tuesday, June 25, 2024 IBF President Daryl Peoples received notification that Oleksandr Usyk was relinquishing his IBF World Heavyweight Title. Usyk conveyed his gratitude to the IBF, especially for having the opportunity to become the Undisputed Champion in two weight divisions. The IBF was honored to have Oleksandr Usyk as its champion and wishes him continued success.

Daniel Dubois, former IBF Interim World Heavyweight Champion, was sent notice on June 26 that he is recognized as the organization’s World Heavyweight Champion effective immediately. The IBF has received the request for Dubois’ first defense of the Heavyweight title to be against Anthony Joshua.

IBF Convention 2025 Site Announced

We are excited to announce that the IBF’s 40th Annual Convention will take place at Caesar’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ from June 1 – 5, 2025. Caesar’s is centrally located on the iconic Atlantic City Boardwalk and conveniently located near many things to do in the area.

The nightly room rate for our convention is $89.00, with a reduced daily resort fee of $27.99. Taxes are not included and the rate is based on single or double occupancy. Each additional person will be charged $20 nightly (maximum of 4 persons per guest room).

Resort Fee Inclusions (inclusions are subject to change without notice):

• Basic in-room WiFi for 2 devices per day.

• $5 credit per stay for self parking

• Fitness Center Access for 2 per day. 

The discounted room rate is available from May 30 to June 6, 2025, based on availability. The cut-off date for making reservations is May 3, 2025. Cancellations can be made up to 72 hours before arrival for a full refund of the one-night deposit.

We are looking forward to hosting this convention in Atlantic City, located in our home state! The IBF team are working on preparations to make this an excellent convention.
